Mark J Wilson established in 2016: has an extensive background in the performing arts as a professional actor and like most creative professionals, has held a number of different day jobs. Currently Wilson is an NDIS area coordinator for a not-for-profit disability service in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs.
Mark’s passion is to develop performance art and new creative projects using an agile methodology.
Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (2015) in Internet Communication from Curtin University, a Graduate Diploma of Communication (2016) from RMIT, and Master degree in Arts Management & Cultural Management (2020) from The University of Melbourne. As part of this degree, he completed a minor thesis project, Mark outlines the research intention:
My research explores the parameters between able-bodied arts workers engagement with artists and arts workers with disability in Australia. The project seeks to better understand the unwritten rules for able-bodied people engaging with artists and arts workers with disability.
