It’s a riotous, galloping ride as this comic mastermind and showman conjures 20 characters in a mind-blowing one-man show. Fasten your seat belts, stow your tray table. It’s time to board the flight of the Soft Butch Show Queen.

The following images are from the initial development showings at the Testing Grounds, 1 City Rd Southbank, Melbourne arts precinct, July, 7pm 26th & 27th 2018.
Through support of the Testing Grounds, a Creative Victoria initiative, I undertook a two week development residency period between the 16th to 29th of July, 2018. The response from the work was positive and was seen by approximately thirty people over two performances. As an outcome, it was clear further directorial, content and costume development was required before the next showings in 2019.
Australian Cultural Fund
The project ran a campaign through the Australian Cultural Fund to generate revenue towards the marketing costs associated with the Adelaide Fringe programming. Overall this campaign achieved a positive response, receiving 18% of its funding target.
Will Conyers Vocal Studio provided consultation services on the development of this work. He has supported the selection of popular music that is attainable for my vocal range and that fits firmly within the popular music sphere. Will is a Green Room lifetime award recipient.
